We offer a ‘step change’ in glazing technology. By modifying the edge of any glazing unit, it can effectively become locked within a framing system, be it a window, door or curtain wall assembly.

The result is the ability to use lighter laminated glass assemblies, whilst offering larger glazed areas with less framing.

The Detail

Introduction

A simple Innovative Solution

Designed so that the glazing remains in place within the frame and within the building opening for a variety of security applications, including explosions, hurricanes and break-in resistance.

A simple innovative solution backed up with extensive research and testing, the Jabisupra® system can be used in virtually any application where additional security is required.

Glazing Retention Achieved

Using the latest designs of laminate interlayers offers the specifier the ability to use nominal glazing thicknesses to achieve remarkable results. Unlike traditional glazed units the glazing is effectively retained within the frame. Tested in the UK to both EXV15 & EXV12 and passed, in accordance with ISO 16933:2007, to 1.4 x 2.8 m, in just a 43mm wide double glazed unit. Watch the video.

Simple to construct, the patented system can easily be constructed anywhere across the globe, supported and backed by the Jabisupra® team. Virtually any substantial aluminium or steel fenestration systems can be modified to accommodate the patented product.

Blast & Ballistics Resistance

It’s Not Possible To Have Blast and Ballistics Resistance In One Window System?

The Jabisupra® solution can actually combine EXV15 or EXV12 pass level blast resistance, in accordance with ISO 16933:2007, with a ballistics resistance of BR6, in accordance with BS EN 1063, in each unit. Without requiring heavy monolithic glazing, windows and facades can be provided which offer clarity, extensive size, together with exceptional levels of insulation.

A first for any high security window, the Jabisupra® solution offers flexibility of design for the facade engineer, together with full traceability and provenance, no matter where the glazed units are made.

Early Attendance - Critical To Sustain Life

The system retains glazing within the frame during the course of an event, which in turn increases life expectancy both inside and outside the building structure, and continues to do so after the event ensuring early, safe attendance for emergency services.

In traditional systems after an event, broken glazing is often slowly and continually released from frames, which can cause serious and often fatal injuries.

Simple Construction

Expensive Site Installation Not Required

Designed to be glazed using traditional dry glazing techniques, including the adoption of the ‘balanced cavity’ principle for glazed unit edge ventilation and drainage, ensures easy installation on site, even in wet conditions.

The Jabisupra® ‘Edge Retention Technology’ is applied during the glazed unit manufacture and is then simply suppled to site for installation. Dry glazing offers straightforward replacement should glazed units become damaged.

Traceability Is Key To Performance

A specification is no good unless it is actually used on the project. All too often project specifications are broken. Jabisupra® offers traceability for each glazed unit that is installed on a project, no matter where it is made and installed, or what system the glazing is fitted into.

We ensure that the glazed units consist of only Jabisupra® approved parts and are constructed correctly. This is our responsibility to the architect and client which we take very seriously.

Research & Development

Ongoing Development Is Key To Our Principles Of Safety First.

To remain at the forefront of security window design and innovation, the Jabisupra® team have an ongoing R&D plan to further enhance systems and services.

Combining high levels of blast and ballistics resistance has made the Jabisupra® system an ideal choice for use in windows where there is a high incidence of hurricanes and cyclones, an area which is currently being developed.
